Captain’s Log-New pier, August 2015

WooHoo! We finally have access to the new pier located at our normal location-The Bar Harbor Inn Pier! We are so excited!!!!

It isn’t fully completed but it’s safe and beautiful and we have access to use it.

It’s been tough prior to this day, not having a permanent location while the pier was under construction. We certainly appreciate all the cooperation, understanding and patience of our guests and staff.

Captain’s Log June 10, 2015

It’s been a rough start for the 2015 season with the pier being under construction for longer than expected. We’ve had to make do with what we have to work with to include running from multiple docks and often needing to ferry passengers over to the sailing vessels.

Old Pier

Out with the Old, waiting for the new…

Captain Jimmy is working extra hard ferrying passengers and often our captain and crew from the Bar Harbor/Winter Harbor-Schoodic ferry jumps in to help out. Our guests get to go on two boat rides! Even our office staff are wearing multiple hats to include being deck hands, crew members and traffic controllers to ensure all of our passengers find which location we will depart from.

We are certainly pushing the term ‘teamwork’ to a new level.

We greatly appreciate the understanding and patience of our guests.
