Enjoy spectacular views from our ferries as you travel between Bar Harbor and Winter Harbor, Maine. You’ll pass by lighthouses, mountains, fishing villages, mansions,and lobstermen hauling their traps.
Visit the “other side” of Acadia National Park — Schoodic Point. Take a FREE BUS! The Island Explorer Bus goes from the Ferry to Schoodic Point, Winter Harbor, Birch Harbor and Prospect Harbor, from June 23 to August 31.
Explore Winter Harbor. Enjoy the scenic waterfront, restaurants and shops of this quiet coastal community.
Bicycle Schoodic Point. Ride the 12 mile loop from Winter Harbor around the Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park. Bring your bike on the Ferry. We recommend the following rental locations:

September 1st: 2 round trips daily Depart Winter Harbor 10 am & 4 pm, Depart Bar Harbor 11 am & 5 pm

Ferry departs from the Bar Harbor Inn Pier and Winter Harbor Marina, Winter Harbor. The FREE Island Explorer Bus goes from the Ferry landing at Winter Harbor Marina and makes a loop to Acadia National Park—Schoodic Point, Winter Harbor, Birch Harbor and Prospect Harbor, from June 23* to August 31*.
