The historic schooner Sylvina W. Beal was launched in East Boothbay, Maine in 1911. Constructed by Maine shipwrights with oak framing & oiled wood decks, the Sylvina W. Beal is the last surviving working sail vessel designed for the herring fisheries. 78′ on deck & 84′ length over all, the Sylvina W. Beal affords guests a unique experience to step back in time and enjoy a leisurely day sail along the down east coast & Acadia.
