Bar Harbor – Winter Harbor Ferry
Departing from Bar Harbor or Winter Harbor; enjoy a ferry boat ride to either destination where you can enjoy a wide variety of activities, shops and restaurants.
Departing from the Bar Harbor Inn Pier at 7 Newport Dr. in Bar Harbor
Enjoy a boat ride over to the Winter Harbor/ Schoodic Peninsula (The quieter side of Acadia National Park). Bring snacks, a picnic lunch or enjoy ordering great food from one of the local area restaurants. Bike riders enjoy this area….bring a bike over on the ferry! The Island Explorer ‘free’ shuttle will meet at the ferry and also is designed to carry bikes. Ask for a Schoodic Chamber brochure for a wealth of details on hiking, biking and shopping.
Departing from the Schoodic Marine Center at 88 Sargent St. in Winter Harbor
Conveniently arrives at the Bar Harbor Inn pier after the approximate 45 minute boat ride. While on the boat, look for wildlife such as seals, harbor porpoise, bald eagles and other waterfowl. Arriving in Bar Harbor, enjoy shopping, restaurants and other in town activities as well as visiting Acadia National park by shuttle or other means of transportation. Bring a bike or rent one in Bar Harbor. Take a Windjammer Cruise of Frenchman Bay!
